a not for profit organisation, Kids Are Kids! relies heavily
on the sponsorships and financial support provided by both
government , corporate and community agencies to either,
fully fund, subsidise and minimise the cost of services
to families.
There are many ways in which you or your business may choose
to support Kids Are Kids! These may include

monetary donations are tax deductible. In some cases
individuals or organisations have chosen to request the
money goes towards a specified program or piece of equipment.
Where this is not the case, monies donated will go into
the provision of much needed resources and/or services for
the families seen at Kids Are Kids!

Sponsoring an individual child, a group program or Kids
Are Kids! itself is a rewarding experience. Kids Are
Kids! has recently introduced the concept of "Therapy
Scholarships" where you or your business can provide
therapy for a needy individual to varying extents:

Major
Sponsors
Kids
Are Kids! became a beneficiary of
Appealathon for 2004/5. The funds obtained
from Appealathon were used to subsidise our Group Programs
– reducing the cost to our families.
Lotterywest
continue to support Kids Are Kids! through equipment
grants for the purchase of a variety of specialised resources
and equipment and assistance in our strategic planning
processes.
The Apex Club of Perth
has generously donated part proceeds of Carols by Candlelight
fundraising for computer equipment and therapy scholarships.
This provided therapy for a number of deserving
families and allowed Kids Are Kids to enhance its computer
network and develop innovative therapy tools.
The
City
of Melville have provided funding to assist
with the purchase of resources and to assist with costs
associated with KidsConnections ; our pilot playgroup
for children and families on the waitlist for Disability
Services Commission funded early intervention programs.
The council also has subsidised
a series of parent workshops called “Understanding Your
Child’s Behaviour” run at the Melville Recreation Centre.
Variety
WA have provided much needed capital funding
to assist in the purchase of equipment for group programs.
Bunnings
Warehouse Melville have
donated materials to assist in renovations to our Parry
Street site.
The
Barrows Foundation
is
a regular sponsor assisting deserving families
though the funding of individual therapy services.
Commander
WA
has assisted in providing subsidised computer
equipment.
Harris Technology
has assisted in providing subsidised computer
equipment.
The
National Australia Bank's
generous donation enables us to continue providing subsidised
therapy services to our young clients.
Jarvis Estate
in
association with Margaret River Dreaming wines sponsored
a very successful Wine Fundraiser which raised valuable
funds
to assist in providing subsidised therapy services.

Fundraising
Our fundraising committee organises a range
of events throughout the year. These events raise
funds which enable the fees to be kept at a minimum for
our families.

Membership
You
can become a life member of Kids Are Kids! for $30. This
entitles you to attend Board and Annual General Meetings
and receive regular newsletters. To join complete and
mail or email our Membership form.
Volunteers
Volunteers are a vital part of the organisation.
The assistance they provide in running group programs, developing
resources, odd jobs around the centre and gardening, add
significantly to the quality and purpose of the organisation.
