Group Programs

Our group programs provide children with the opportunity to learn important independence and participation life skills.

 

Kids Are Kids! group programs have been developed by a team of specialist therapists and are designed to support social, emotional, intellectual and physical development in children.  All group programs are run by qualified therapists in small groups for each child to receive individual support.  Group programs are run on demand and parents can register their interest at any time.

 

SocialEyes

SocialEyes is a social skills program with a focus on peers relationships, communication, turn-taking, listening skills, assertiveness, protective behaviours and problem solving.  SocialEyes is run in small groups in both junior (age 5-8yrs) and senior (8-12yrs) age groups.

Course: 1 hour per session over 5 weeks

 

Little SocialEyes

Little SocialEyes is a social skills program for children aged 4-6 years with a focus on communication, learning to play, sharing, turn-taking and expressing feelings.

Course: 1 hour per session over 5 weeks

 

HandySkills

HandySkills is a small group program to develop fine motor and pre-writing skills for pre primary and early school aged children through active participation. Parents are provided with strategies and activities to assist their child to facilitate their child’s development.

Course: 1 hour per session over 4 weeks

 

 

Fun With Movement

Fun With Movement is a small group program designed to develop children’s physical skills including balance, co-ordination and ball skills.  Fun With Movement is available for two different age groups; Junior Group: 3-5 yrs and Senior Group: 5-7yrs.

Course: 1 hour per session over 5 weeks

 

Little Ones On The Move

Little Ones On The Move involves a group of no more than 4 children under the age of 3, who are finding their feet.  Parents are required to stay for the duration of the group as they will also learning how to help their child develop their gross motor skills.

Course: 45 minutes per session, 2 sessions per week over 4 weeks

 

Junior PenPals

This innovative program focuses on the skills required for reading and writing.  Junior PenPals is designed for children in years 1and 2 and covers areas such as sound to letter conversions,  correct letter formation and early spelling rules.

Course: 1 hour per session over 5 sessions

 

Senior PenPals

This is the next level of reading and writing support primarily aimed at students in years 3 and 4. The small group program focuses on reading comprehension, neatness, speed and legibility of handwriting and self monitoring and correction skills.

Course: 1.5 hours per session over 5 sessions
